We are incredibly excited to announce that we will be working with Abel & Cole to upcycle their plastic waste into knife handles for our second batch of knives.
Abel & Cole are the inventors of the veg delivery box and have been pioneers since 1988. Their produce is of the highest standard and is all organic.
'Abel & Cole began over 27 years ago when Keith Abel lugged a big bag of organic spuds around south London after first learning about the benefits of organic. He realised the huge benefits of going organic and never looked back. In fact, Abel & Cole still get veg from the farm where Keith’s first organic spuds came from. Nowadays they deliver (in their happy yellow vans) not just fantastic seasonal organic fruit and veg boxes, but artisan bread, milk, meat, recipes boxes, meal kits and more, to thousands of good-food loving homes around England and Wales every week.'
We are helping Berkeley Dairy Farm, the milk supplier for Abel & Cole, which has been owned and run by the Gosling family since 1908, to minimise their plastic impact by taking their deformed or broken cartons and crates and transforming them into our knife handles.
We are just experimenting with different colours and can't wait to show you how they look!
