BAO Nakiri
£230.00
*Update: Sold out 8th December 2023*
This is our BAO x Allday Goods Nakiri, hand forged by Yoshikazu in Sakai, Japan and made from BAO's restaurant plastic waste.
HANDLE: Inspired by Gua bao bun's stacked on top of each other and made entirely out of BAO's plastic waste that has been collected, washed, shredded and melted to shape. There will be variations in colour because each handle melts differently. No two handles will ever be the same, so yours is a one-off.
BLADE: Nakiri (Kyoto style)
This is your traditional Japanese vegetable knife with a slightly rounded tip. Hand forged by Yoshikazu in Sakai, Japan.
STEEL: Aogami 2 (Blue)
This is an incredible high carbon steel, with great rust resistance and a razor sharp edge. It's also easy and quick to sharpen. This is one of the best knife steels available.
FINISH: Kurouchi
The kurouchi also known as the 'blacksmiths finish' is black scale that has been left on the blade. This is to prevent rusting (but we think it also looks great).
MAKER: Yoshikazu and Yoshihisa (Sakai, Japan)
