This is our Batch 6 Santoku knife, hand-forged in Somerset by blacksmiths Jimmy and Joe and hand-painted in London by Artist Lucy Mahon.
HANDLE: Made out of scrap British Oak wood from a furniture maker in Camberwell, London. Lucy has painted two sides of each handle: a sunny side and a rainy side. Please note that all handles is made by hand and hand painted so there will be small variations between each of them.
SHAPE: Santoku
This is the Japanese version of a Western chef's knife. This is your all-rounder kitchen knife. Santoku translates as “three benefits” and relates to the knife's ability to slice, dice and mince.
STEEL: 52100 (British)
This is an incredibly sharp high carbon British steel. It has great rust resistance and holds an edge well.
NUMBERED: Each handle is signed and numbered, and your edition number will depend on the position you order in. If you want a lower number, we’d suggest getting in quickly!
